Wilson's Woodworking
Finally finished the cutting on this project last night. Thank You to Birch Bark for a wonderful pattern. It took me two to three months to cut this only having time to make a few cuts at a time but I really enjoyed cutting it. I stack cut 4 pictures so now I have to figure out what I want to use for a back ground and if I want to stain a couple of them or leave them all natural. What do you guys think? Ron Johnson
Beautiful pattern and you've done a very fine job cutting it Dan. Myself I would add a black backing placed within a shadow boxed matt and frame.
Phantom Scroller
Danny I think the cut is amazing can't wait to see one in a frame. Roly
LarryEA
I love cutting horses and you did a fantastic job. Staining is scarry to me. I like Ron's idea except I would do gray. Backgrounds can be experimental until you attach them. Colors: Sorrel, Buckskin, Chestnut,Palomino. Almost any brown. Blacks are 'shiny' they gleam and sparkle. Go big and make one with each a slightly different color. Wilson's Woodworking and amazingkevin

spirithorse
Very nice pattern and very nice cutting! There are really a lot of options on backing. You could use a different color backing for each horse. You could also color wash each horse either all the same or different colors. I like Ron Johnson's idea of a shadow box type frame but, you could also make a frame with scrolled images in the frame also or wood burn designs on the frame. Just lots of choices!Again, very nice pattern and very nice cutting. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

wombatie
You certainly nailed that Danny. I personally do not like staining but thats me. As for backing I think there is nothing more beautiful than a shiny black horse, so may be some shinny black paper, if you can find some.
