Skeeter
I have been scrolling for about 15 years. Blew up a craftsman saw the first day and graduated to a Dremel. Joined the big kids and purchased a DeWalt. I do a lot of work for a coffin builder, he gets scrolled items, I get free wood it's a win win. Most of my cutting is done in the dark nights of winter because I like being outside in the summer. My shop is in the corner of my basement, not large but big enough for what I do. I have also taught classes at a local liberal arts university, they harvest their own lumber from the property so every once in a while I get some old growth Red Oak, Maple etc. Stogies, Phantom Scroller and bobscroll

wombatie
Hi Skeeter, welcome to the Village. I'm Marg from Australia. Do you scroll items to go onto the coffins or word art type projects for the families? Either way you won't be out of orders. Marg
Skeeter
These items sit in the casket lids and are kept by the families as a rememberance.

BeachBoy
Welcome, Skeeter. I'm new to this forum too, but I don't have nearly the experience you do. Looking forward to learning a thing or three from you. Now let's talk about this relationship you have with a coffin builder. I am all in favor of barter relationships, but I don't think I would have chosen a coffin maker for fear of what he'd offer in return. Just sayin'...
