DWSUDEKUM
Cut from 3/4 Pine ( box body ), 1/16 Poplar ( Box top and bottom ) and 1/16 Mahogany ( horse ), Bamboo ( hinge pins ). This is a relatively simple box to make and since the lid is pinned in place there is no danger of someone putting it on wrong or loosing it. The back of the box has a slight 3/16" 45 Degree chamfer to allow the lid to open. The lid has a 1/16 radius relief on the bottom back corner to allow the lid to open without interfering with the opening. This box was sealed with tung oil and then top coated with shellac. DWSUDEKUM
Great looking box! I like the design. I might enlarge it and make one for my wife. Thanks for sharing. Danny would love to see pics of it when you get it done. Glad you like the design, I did one somewhat similar a few years back for a set of quality steak knives but never took pictures of it.
