nrscroller
Hi All My nice daylight magnifier lamp I have had since about 1999 broke today on my scroll saw. It just came apart where the ball part with that pin is where it attaches to the swing arm.....that suck's. I tried some industrial silicone on it to see if I can fix it. Anyone know where there is a good deal on one now? Also maybe a better one than that one I have, mine is like 1.75 3 diopter. Thanks Bill
amazingkevin
I've had several draftsman type ex large swinging magnifiers.I was not happy with the focal view they give.Very disrupting to my eyes to try and keep focused on the small window area that's magnified by them .I get real good glasses of the internet cheap .The latest being a 6.0 ,a 4.0 and for coins i would like to try the 10.0.I'm very pleased with them compared to the huge magnifiers..I wear 150 power for driving and 225 power for reading. me5269
I picked this one up at HF a few years ago. No problems with it. With a discount coupon, its around $30.
Wilson's Woodworking
I picked one up at Menards about 6 months ago for about $30. I think that was a sale price but they weren’t marked down too much. nrscroller

rjR
Depending on your requirements; Harbor freight, Menards, Northern tool, Acme Electric will have some. The sewing/craft stores like Johann's/Michael's etc. also carry some. These tend to be more expensive and may not stand the vibrations, but, worth looking at. (They both often have coupons for discount also) You can also try Amazon and EBay!
