I think it could have a lot of possibilities for scrollers too. Make your own pull knobs or embellishments for your projects. It prints plastic or stainless steel. It didn't seem like a bad price, either. However, I think you'd really have to know what you're doing to put together the 3d file. I saw something similar to this in "Jay Leno's Garage" .... he was using it to create some parts in plastic for an old car, then they made sure it fit properly in the car engine and sent it off to a tool & die person to make a real one! It was amazing because this thing scanned the original part from all sides and then made the plastic piece...you would have to watch the video to know what I'm talking about.
