Twainland Scroller
Hello everyone. I started scrolling a little more than a year ago after a friend loaned me his craftsman scroll saw to tinker with for a few weeks. He had asked my wife and I to accompany him and his wife to the Branson Scroll Saw Picnic a few years back, but I was not not interested in scrolling then. Now that they no longer have the Branson Picnics and I have gotten hooked on scrolling, I have kicked myself for not taking him up on his invitation. After doing some researching I decided to purchase an Excalibur EX-21 about a year ago and love it, I just don't seem to have enough time to use it. I am hoping to move it into the basement this winter so I can get more use out of it to relieve the Winter doldrums. I just stumbled onto this site a couple of weeks ago and look forward gathering more information from everyone in the future. Fred.
c_lang
Welcome Fred, You'll find a bunch of info here as well as nice people. I would suggest grab a drink and chips, sit back and spend some time looking around, there's a lot of info here. Just jump in and join the sawdust slinging. If you have a question there are lots of people here that would be more than happy to help you, I'm one of the newer members and have learned a lot in my short time here. I have to say, you bought well with your machine, that's a dream machine for most. Look forward to seeing your projects and post, WELCOME ABOARD! Travis
Hi Fred. Welcome to the Village. We're glad you found us. You certainly don't mess around when buying a scroll saw, thats for sure. You have a very nice machine on your hands. I move my saw to the basement during the winters too. Hopefully you'll be able to find more time with your saw as the weather gets colder. There are plenty of projects to keep you busy here. Another fun thing to do is look through everybody's User Gallery. You'll get a lot of inspiration that way. I get a kick out of it. Anyway, welcome aboard. Jump on in and have some fun!
Kepy
Hi Fred, I attended the last two picnics in Branson and you surely did miss a good time. Most from there have moved to the one in TX but I haven't made that one yet. If you do get a chance to attend a picnic be sure to do so as they are a lot of fun and informative.
