rjR
A have been asked to make a display for martial arts belts that can be wall hung. I need to know sizes etc. that are appropriate and any ideas of any kind to help. The person is soon to be getting the TiaKwanDO (Probably spelled very badly) Black belt soon. I appreciate any ideas and sizing suggestions. Thanks to everyone. Can email directly if you wish ralbuck@yahoo.com
Doug
Ralph I do not really understand where you are headed but here is one I did recently for a twelve year old who had just received his black belt if it gives you any ideas. The one portion in the center is Korean for Taekwondo.

spirithorse
Sorry I do not have plans but, here is a link to a photo of a very nice looking design. https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0LEV1zvb.RTezYATLtXNyoA?ei=UTF-8&pvid=YvlMsDk4LjGCrH1jUosGewIvNzUuMVPkb7v_9c7o&fr=yfp-t-322-s&p=karate+belt+display&rs=0&fr2=rs-bottom I would surmise that 14" wide would be a suitable measurement (Width) if the belts are folded in 3 equal segments but, you could ask someone the measurement of their belt and design around that dimension. Good luck and God Bless! Spirithorse

Wilson's Woodworking
This is what I made my grandson when he received his green belt. I never thought about building in a rack to hang the belts from. I guess I just figured they only had one belt at a time and turned the old one in. Any way if you can get a picture of the dojo emblem and make a pattern out of it I know it is pretty special. MrsN
I made a belt holder for my step-son's Karate belts. I had a belt to use as a measurement, but the pieces the belts wrap around are 1.5" x 12" Wilson's Woodworking
