grampa
Can you not get the motor rewind it may be cheaper than a second hand saw.....Paul
amazingkevin
Scroll saws use probably a minimum of an amp and a half 1.5 amps. The 220 volt converters that people take over seas should run one nicely. You know the ones that you use for shavers etc.And i think if you get the ones that step down the voltage the amps increases slightly.Does the motor smell burnt. Is it a variable speed scroll saw with electronic circuit boards , is this the one that's belt driven?for speed control?Low amp motors should last and last. bobman58
Thanks for the replays my saw is the delta 40-650 variable speed I have had the motor to pieces and it's definitely the motor burnt out I need a 240volt motor the ones you have are 120 volt I don't know about a converter Kevin I will have to look in to that, failing that I will try to fit a different motor in to it it's too good a saw to scrap thanks bob
amazingkevin
I've wound motors before,You just have to keep track of which way the windings go around the armature. The ones i did were on slott car with very fine hair wire, yours should be easyer. bobman58
