john shankel
my question is this , when a pic starts out at 300 dpi , from a sender, then transferd to a smart phone, then sent to me , it is 96 dpi ? what can i do to keep the pic at 300 dpi, so i can send it to the pattern makers on this site and other sites as well. and also via email? KurtP
If they are sending it by email from a phone there are settings that will reduce the size of the picture. sometimes once it is set it will do it to every picture unless you go into the settings to change it. If they text it to you it will do the same but I don't think you can change the text settings as you are limited to size via text.

trailfndr
The transfer to a smart phone is the problem. Ask the person to send it from a computer, and you open it thru a computer, and your problem will be solved.
