BOWL COMPRESSION BOARD

I'm still toying around with the idea of compressing 1/8" or less slices of 1" wood 16" long into a blank to make my first bowl.One thing stopping me is a place to set up the clamping board i made with two pipe clamps ,a dead end to press against and hollowed out wood holders for the pipe clamps. Now after some thought im wondering if it's going to be way to much glue to sand when it's all cut out and glued down.?

I thought you could easily remove excess when it congeals but not dry.

And I thought I always said, ' You can't use too much glue.'

Of course I never took Kevin and his projects into consideration.
