LarB Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Hello fellow enthusiasts I have been coming here for a while getting inspiration, admiring your stunning workmanship, awesome pattern makers and have worked up the courage to say 'hello'. So Hello to you all ... A couple of years ago I had the pleasure of spending a few weeks with my folks and was in my Dad's shed. I came across his pyrography tool and started dabbling on some scrap timber, then found his scroll saw - and some more scrap timber! I got hooked, bought some good timber (in my naive timber experience - pine was better than the plywood!!) broke countless blades, doubled his 'burning' pile and eventually knocked out some presentable gifts. Now I'm totally hooked, have my own pyrography set and my other half spoilt me rotten and bought me an Excalibur - as long as I keep his beer fridge stacked and have some time in the kitchen - fair deal I reckon! I remember how excited I was when I got started enjoying scrolling too. Lately The Village is starting to get a lot more people finding us from 'down under'. I hope that you soon understand that spending a large part of your 'out of the shop' time here, the sooner you will find that everyone here enjoys The Village because of the people that hang out here. So keep coming back often so that we can get to know you better and explore the entire sight there are many wonderful nooks and crannies to explore.
