Name plate Kevins style

A friend lost his mum and dad recently and wanted to make a memorial for them and ask if I could make a name plate for them George & Lilly Blues God bless them both, I didn't ask how they died I could see it was a bit raw in his face.

I thought straight away of AMAZING KEVIN'S style and  I hope I've done it justice for him. It's made from teak starts light and gets darker as you go down I sprayed lacquer it in clear varnish but don't know if I should gloss coat it or leave it as it is?,what do you think. Roly

I would leave as is Roly. I think gloss may detract the look of it . Too reflective. Just my opinion Roly. What I will say, is you did a great job on it lovely cutting.

I like the way you did the 'y's and the name plate is cut very well.

You can always overcoat gloss with satan or semi if you don't like it.

Nicely done.  I would let it be natural and if it darkens over time all the better.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Your right Marg I thought the same I might cut under the L to make it stand up, never be afraid to comment if you can see it so will they. Thanks for input.
