amazingkevin Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Been on a side step an got a few different things done. One of the freebee names i gave has turned into a blessing So far in a couple days 5 orders came in YES ! The flags are my friends ,he drove all the way to tennessee to sell a couple dozen of them at a giant craft show.None sold.Nothings glued down yet these placques are from"SCROLLSAWWORKSHOP.COMThe plaques took from 45 minutes for a simple one to 2 hours for most and the department one i lost track of my time All are 1/4 drawer bottom plywood ,shiny on one side and 1/2 of the remember plaque is 1/2" plywood. The little letters in the department one were cut with a 2/0 blade at 2.5 speed on the dw788,a #71 drill bit was used She wanted them stained after i cut them and the shiny wood isn't going to take stain.Got to figure out somethin as she's going to bass pro for a military show and wants to show all of these plus hand out my cards.Had i known the whole ballpark picture i could have loaded her up big time Edited September 11, 2014 by amazingkevin bobscroll, jscottj, Phantom Scroller and 1 other 4 Quote

lonewolf Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 What do you use for the flags, kevin? I have cedar that i can use for something similar. Before too long i'm going to have to use it and make my granddaughter a cedar chest. Kind of dread it. I'm not much of a carpenter so i'll have to go slow with it. But a fallen cedar tree and a saw mill, and almost free wood. Oh, yea, almost forgot, excellent work you've done. Quote

Ken O Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 Kevin, I go to home Depot/ Lowes and get a box of the the cedar closet lining. Looks great and pretty cheap for the small projects. Just trim off the tonge & grove and you're in business! Good job, I like the Marine Corps one! Quote
