ubgoofy2003
Hello everyone, some time ago I did this portrait of a TV guy, called Longmire. A modern day Wyoming Sheriff. Well, today I was bored, so I added some color to it & this is how it came out. I think it added a nice touch. Take a look. Thanks Edited September 14, 2014 by ubgoofy2003
LarryEA
My wife said it is beautiful. I say boredom brings out an artistic talent in you. Very very good.

ubgoofy2003
Well, thank you all. I really like doing this stuff. I meant to add the portrait before I painted it & the one that I made the pattern from. So will do that here. I think I can post it here. Copy write on some photo's I think. heppnerguy
I too have tried, what I call 'colorization' but i never seem to achieve what I am after. You succeeded in doing waht i have been shooting for. what did you use for the coloring? Great job on the pattern, cutting and colorizing. ubgoofy2003
Well, since you asked about the color. I have done this before, but, only once. I used a very dry brush with acrylic paint. I thought about stain, but, I can't control it like I can the paint. The one I did before was a personal portrait of a couple. I didn't do any more than the face and arms though. I have done some fish & wildlife with some color too. Thanks for your nice comments. penquin
Great idea, sure enjoyed that show, to bad A&E canceled it. They claimed not enough 18-49 viewers. Seems the average age of viewers was 61. Don't they realize us seniors are the only ones who can afford to buy stuff anymore. The 18 to 49 'ers are all busy paying off student loans and other debts. Any chance you would share the pattern? jimpenquin
