Dan
I started this about one year ago then it sat until last month. I took a picture of the hawk in my brother's backyard, converted it to a pattern, then put it on wood. The wood is cherry. The flaw is a knot that was originally in the board. It's finished with satin polyurethane. I did torch the edges to give is some sort of framing. Most of it was cut with a FD-#1UR and some with a #1 spiral. I did notice some fading of the wood after I removed the pattern. Learned a lesson there. bobscroll, Becky schofield, Doug and 1 other

Wilson's Woodworking
I love the richness of the cherry and the knot really worked in perfectly. The torched edge really sets off the whole picture! A great pattern and great cutting.
LarryEA
Beautifully done. Cherry is a great choice for it. Of course, the knot is good.

Dan
Thanks everyone. I put the pattern on last year and every part that was uncovered got a sunbath. Hehe. Dick, I think I did post the photo then the pattern. If I were to use the oattern again I would not cut the area below the tail.
