dave100mile Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 recently found this site and love reading through the experiences and accomplishments of others. I am in Tekamah, Nebraska and for a few years have been loving my hobby of cutting 50-1000 piece jigsaw puzzles. It took a while to perfect the process but finally fell on using a heat press to meld the pictures onto 7 ply finnish plywood and then using 6mm blades and the amazingly smooth and quiet RBI Hawk saw for the ultra fine cutting of each piece in my puzzles. So, now the problem. I have the opportunity to engage on another of my dreams and that is of hiking the appalachian trail so with the hope of someday buying new equipment for my shop I must sell to raise money for the 6 month hiatus. My RBI Hawk 220vs series scroll saw is in excellent condition and fully operational and I'm hoping on getting $550.00 for it. If anyone is interested let me know. David dtlawton@hotmail.com Quote

Wilson's Woodworking Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 I wish I had the money for that saw. You are not far away from Norfolk Ne. but right now money is kind of tight. Good luck on your venture and please post some pictures while you are up there. I think we would all Love to see them. Oh by the way WELCOME to the village!!! Quote
heppnerguy Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 Glad you stopped by and introduced yourself to us all. I do hope you will not forget to log in after you complete your journey on the trail and the blisters have all healed. I too would enjoy seeing some photos when you return. I am not sure I could give up my saw for any reason but I would bet that you will regret selling it and turn around and buy another one soon after you get back home. Have fun. Oh, by the way, If I could have any saw I wanted, it would be the one you have. Dick heppnerguy Quote

dave100mile Posted September 26, 2014 Author Report Posted September 26, 2014 I will be hiking alone, everyone I know thinks I'm crazy so won't find any hiking partners here. I will be taking lots of pictures though especially so that my wife can live vicariously through my agony. Wilson's Woodworking 1 Quote
