Phantom Scroller
Danny these are all fantastic cuts but I've no idea except, it would have to be over £15. Roly
dansnow
Danny, a lot depends on location and possible customer base. If they were mine I'd start the portrait at $30 and the plaques between $30-$40 depending on size and complexity.
DWSUDEKUM
Danny great work btw. As Dan mentioned between $30 - $40 is a decent price, HOWEVER this will depend upon the venue. Is this a craft show and are you the only vendor with these kinds of items for sale? A lot will depend upon the areas economy. For instance if the economy is good then the $30 - $40 range would be quite acceptable on the other side of the coin if your show is in a economically challenged area ( like one of mine is ) you might wish to lower your prices a little bit. In the end though Danny nothing says that you have to set your prices in concrete. You are the artist so you set the price. If in talking to the customer you find that they really like one of your works of art but can not afford it you can if you wish lower the price from that you had marked. You will have to see what the other vendors are charging and you may have to adjust your prices accordingly. Good Luck on your upcoming show. heppnerguy
Danny, I can see that you have spent a lot of time on some of these..The Santa one has many boarder cuts. I rarely sell anything for less than $25 and most for around $40 and up. I do quite well on my facebook page but I, personally do not do craftshows because I am not interested in making a lot of wood items to sit around my shop the rest of the year. I find in craft shows, unless they are really big, most people seem to be looking for something they can pick up for under $20. I find it not worth my time. But obviously most don't agree with me. I hope you can find the price that sells your items for you. Let us know how you do. Dick heppberguy Clayton717
LarryEA
An option is to not put a visible price on any but have one in mind. Anyone interest will ask how much, have them make an offer and see how close they come to your price. You could try this once in a while. Just a thought. edward
First of all you projects are very nice, my opinion is I would not go over $40, I sell my portraits for $25 - $30, I very rarely go over $40 My shows haven't really been that good, seem to get less and less each year. If you want to get any ideas on pricing, check out e bay and etsy to see what people are getting. Sometimes I ask my wife what she would pay for an item, most of the time it works. Just my thoughts. edward
dansnow
Something my wife and I figured out early on was that having a range of items from inexpensive to higher prices works better. Once we started offering a few things in the $5-10 range to go with our other offerings, things picked up. Folks would pick up a kit or small toy for $5-10, and take a business card, and sometimes would get in touch for something wlse. Best of luck on your show. amazingkevin
Lol ,just to get something framed is $40.My friend has yard sales and walks around the customers and says make me a good deal fair offer and you can soon be the proud owner. He gets everything free but stores them in a $100. a month warehouse. This is quality stuff a show here is $125.for three days outside and more for inside. If you only have 5 items it won;t pay but i'm sure you have more.Best of luck.I would not want less than $45.ea. but the christmas&bird one are big money .it all sells ,but when! :cool:Discouragement is the devils best tool ,go have fun and make friends and hand out cards! frankorona
Excellent works, they look very well done, I think the price you must determine, for each job is special and different complexity.
danny
I send my Thank You's to ALL. Lots of different opinions, but seems the price for all would be "Good" in the $25.00 figure. Different patterns did take longer, but I always stack cut, so get multibles. This show is in Fayetville, Tennessee. 2 days inside. This will be my 5th year. Learned long ago I am not in this TO GET RICH. I am Thankful that I always make between $500 and $600 each year. Pays me back for materials. Most years I understand that between 4 and 5 THOUSAND people come thru. ALWAYS a FLOW of people on Saturday. Sunday is Terrible normally. Learned to Bite my Toung from dealing with people that thought they were at a FLEA MARKET. Anyway.... Thanks again..............Danny :+}
ike
I like to charge by the hour . I pick $20 per. hour. If I make something that will bring under $15 per. hour I don't make any more. Of curse this depends on the area you are in.

rjR
Pricing advice is like love advice-- we all have different ideas! I do NOT do craft shows with heavy entry fees!--- I do a "church craft show as a consignment vendor" and seem to do fair on it. I also do fair SOMETIMES during the neighborhood garage sales! Then I have very limited expenses! A good LUCK too you and Please inform us as to where and how the sales were!
