If we got hacked, there would be a ton of damage. The reason I'm asking about the popup window is that you might have some adware on your computer. There are some nasty programs that'll hijack your browser and popup ads and other spammy/phishing things. Problem is, some of them aren't technically malware or viruses, so normal scans won't pick it up. I got one called Fun Themes or something to that order. It was a monster to get rid of. heppnerguy Posted October 10, 2014 Report Share Posted October 10, 2014 I have had those terrible adware pop ups a couple of times. I am always so glad to get them off my computer. Be careful whenever you download something and always use the 'advanced' options when you DL. then you can opt out of the unwanted things that come with so many of the download things. New Guy Posted October 10, 2014 Report Share Posted October 10, 2014 Norton Antivirus Captured a virus about two weeks ago on my computer. I ran it after logging off this site. Could have picked it up some where else only looked at this site and one other that day. I run a scan everyday right after logging off for the day.
