Phantom Scroller
I know how you like pictures, here's some of a show I attended today and I was surprised by a visit of Royalty from the Forest of Dean, yes Forester and his wife Julie paid me a visit nice to see you and the wife Ed for a nice chat on the subject of..... yes you guessed it scrolling. Made loads of pennies so I'm in next month and the month after. I'm surrounded by lovely women on tables just one more man on top table. Well here's the pics. LarryEA
The one picture I viewed was very nice to look at. Wish I had better connection and faster computer. Just takes so long to bring pictures up. I'll take time later to look at more. Glad you sold some, but your table still looks full. I'm off to check brakes on old farm vehicle. DWSUDEKUM
Nicely set up Roly. I do not know how it is on your side of the pond but small boxes like those puzzle boxes sell well over here. I liked what I saw, how do bowls sell there? Considering nearly everything I sell is under £5 with exception of larger items I took a sack of pennies more than happy for first month and I got 5 orders to take next time. Thanks Roly Roly the puzzle boxes were put out in SSWC back in '09 they looked like this Easy to make just 6 cuts and only one of them is an inside cut. Takes about 10 min or so to cut one out. The size is roughly the size of a business card but about 1 3/4 in. or so tall. I sell a fair amount of them each season since the customers put jewelry, money, pet remembrances etc in them. As for your bowls simple and cheap but well made will sell them. By cheap I mean in the £9 to £15 ( $15 USD- $25 USD ) range. Folks here seem to have that easily in their pocket and are willing to spend it especially if they perceive a bargain. I have been looking for then for a long time. The pattern was in one of the 2009 issues of ScrollSaw Woodworking and Crafts - Karl Taylor's puzzle box from Spring 2009 (issue #34). It is super simple to make. DW Edited October 11, 2014 by DWSUDEKUM Phantom Scroller
Fish
Great work Roly, I've seen those boxes too. I've done a few but they don't look as good as those do. They are quick and easy to do though. Rob Roy and Phantom Scroller
