Docupton
My customer sat with me for an hour discussing what she wanted (and drinking my tea), after a google image search she settled on a design, and she wanted to supply her own wood, a piece of old chip board. I showed her what wood I had but she insisted on hers, it would look rustic she said, she was not kidding. Not a pretty sight and it cuts like a stale biscuit, she still had it, though I think the smile was definitely fake, I am expecting another call later in the week..... Phantom Scroller
OMG Doc, I think that would look good with the leaves painted with the different levels of broken chipboard. Roly Docupton
Bendita
I think it is absolutely gorgeous, a lot of times we forget that beauty is in the eye of the beholder as much as we would prefer to use our taste of wood fiber, your customer has another vision. But in the end the customer is always right, he who has the gold makes the rules. Docupton

Docupton
I suppose you are all right, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but if that's the case I must have looked really handsome to her...... Fab4
What's up Doc: It can't get any rustickier ( is this a word???) than that. I don't think it looks bad. It's different that's for sure I'll bet you that if she does call you back later in the week it will be to order a few more Fab4 Docupton
LarryEA
You did a great job cutting. It's unique and a one-of-a-kind. Looks good with a finish. Docupton
amazingkevin
A thought would be to cut out a clear plastic 1/16" thick flexible the shape of your pattern and place it on the wood and move it around to capture the best look with random chip board designs. I like the results you got as it makes me focus on the irregularities of the wood chips. I 'm going to find me some now. Nicely done project.I've passed up plenty of chip board , but no more , endless ideas now!    Docupton

amazingkevin
Doc, I had to put-on your merry Christmas to keep the wheels turning with this chip board idea. It's now in front of me at the computer till I come up with what to do with the chipboard! Thanks again! Docupton

keefie
I think it looks brilliant, and well cut too. I know from past experience that chipboard is not the best material to work with on a scroll saw. Docupton
