SilverSliver
Hello! I am new to this forum but I have been on a couple others for awhile. I started scrolling about 13 years ago shortly after I lost my wife. Been at it ever since. It is strictly a hobby, I do not sell anything, but give all my projects away except for those I keep for myself. I like to give away items to young chilldren. I guess my favorite for handouts are 3D items. I have to limit myself to simple cuttings because of macular degeneration setting in. I am 84 years old and live in Sioux Falls, SD since 1973. wombatie, Rob Roy, Wilson's Woodworking and 1 other
Bendita
Welcome to the Village Duane much like myself my place looks like a museum with all the pieces I've made but it doesn't matter as I live alone also and never sell anything I make. Just recently I decided to quit making little things as my place is filling up so now I do projects that take a while. Make yourself at home and browse around there is ton's of free patterns to take advantage of and every morning someone cooks breakfast that you can join in. have fun is the main thing and everybody here is friendly and please ask anything but be careful You will get a lot of answers cause everyone wants to help. Have a great day in my 50 some odd years of scrolling I have learned one thing......Scrolling is boring.................and cutting .../Hans Rob Roy, amazingkevin, LarryEA and 2 others

rjR
Well a big Hello! I used to live just north of you``` West Fargo, ND. I have scrolled since 1953; hopefully sometime in the future, I get good at it! This is a fun;-- and helpful site! All kinds of patterns, advice (SOME even good) tips., tricks, and a "bad -time" thrown along in! Rockler has a wondrous light; that helps-- nice magnifying glass and LED lights-- stays very cool and really makes it easier to see things. I paid $70 for it and it is worth the money! I mounted it to the bench; and can swing it to the saw and out of the way! Rob Roy

A lot of us has the same hobby as you except we sell some items to meet expenses, and then again there is a lot of use this as a hobby and give ours away so you will se lots of different projects here. not very many of us make a profit at it but we all enjoy it, and that is our main gold. and you will see a lot of kidding here, it is very entertaining. heppnerguy
I too am retired. First I want to express my sorry over the losing of your wife. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to no longer have the most important person in your life to no longer be able to share life with. Welcome to the village, this place certainly can fill in any lonely spots in your life because everyone here quickly becomes part of your family, if you come back often, so please do that. feel free to explore the entire site and help yourself to as many patterns that you might feel like making. Glad you found us Dick heppnerguy
