dansnow Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 As anyone who has sold at a craft fair can attest, people will often make an excuse to leave your booth without buying something. I;m sure we've all heard "I just need to go find my husband/wife", or "I will buy that, I'm just going to look around the rest of the vendors first.." When we hear these, Lin and I just chuckle and say they most likely won't be back. Well, yesterday Lin and I heard a new one that became an instant classic. Woman came up to our booth dressed like she'd been out jogging, with the running shoes and the "proper" running togs. She carefully looked over our offerings and then said to Lin "I really love the alphabet snake, but I've been running and smell bad!". At which point she turned and walked away. Not much you can do at that point but refrain from laughing out loud until they're far enough away to not hear you. Anyone one else got some unique excuses they want to share?
