blade tension on EX 30

summertime

Recommended Posts

Hi , every time I release the tension on my EX 30 the blade is bowed sideways. I then release the top clamp, tighten again, saw away, release the tension, blade bowed again, I have tried to clean on sand the left hand top clamping screw but still happens. Using FD3- UR, 4 layers of ply about 18mm thick.

Would be thankful for any advice

The tentioned blade still in the clamps is showing you the trapped stretch the tention has on the blade release the clamp and your blade will be straight ,prefect time to see how important tention is and what effect not haveing enough always cuts a bow when you think you are cutting straight but the wood does not it's actually bowed in the middle of the cut far more noticeable in thicker wood !
