For those members of SSV who served in the military, a big thank you for your service. For those in the UK and Canada thanks for your service too. (Wasn't that poppy display was extraordinary? Someone should do a scroll saw pattern of a poppy.)  Finally for those who served in Vietnam I want to say Welcome Home!

I didn't make it to Vietnam but did serve during that time.  You will never know how much it means to have someone thank you now.  At that time, we were asked to not wear uniforms off base due to the negativity.

I'm off this am to the high school where they do an excellent program honoring vets.  We meet first for coffee and then are escorted individually into the auditorium to the band playing and a standing ovation.
