Blogging on your hobbie

I'm just curious how many people have their own blogs about what it is they are doing. A friend of mine is an avid bird watcher and has been at me for several months to start a blog (I already have a fan page on facebook) and so I started one today. However, I'm feeling a little self concious about it and was wondering if anyone else was doing it.....

PS Travis... as my second blog was about a Chickadee clock that you made the pattern for I put a link for this board in my post which I hope is okay :)

I don't have a blog yet. But I'm on most of the scroll saw forums and have my own, so I haven't really had the time to invest in blogging yet. I'm trying to move my group and I'll have a blog on that site...........similiar to this one.

I think you're doing a great job on your blog and, if you enjoy it, then you should keep it up! I enjoyed reading yours. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Blogging is a lot of fun. I have several. In fact, Scroll Saw Goodies was origionally hosted on blogspot. When I wanted to expand it to offer other things, Scroll Saw Village was born. I still blog Scroll Saw Goodies. It's not so much about me and my projects, but rather resources for scrollers (patterns, websites, tutorials and the podcast). Its a lot of fun. I hope you stick with it. If nothing else, it's nice to look back on some of your projects and remember how they went. Plus when someone wants to see your work, you can direct them to your blog. Very cool. I'm honored to have the first project entry. You did a great job on the Chickadee clock!

Thank you all for your words on encouragement! I was nervous about making the blog, but when I started my post about the Chickadee clock I really was getting into it! I'm looking out for other blogs about scrollsawing and so far have found lots about general wood working or wood turning but not so much about scrollsaw.

And Travis, it was your blog that brought me to this great site
