greasemonkeyredneck
For today's project, I've had in my shop for a week now a June 12, 1950 issue of Time magazine that a friend's wife wanted framed. I finally got a round to it. She said she's been looking for a long time for a frame the right size and sturdy enough to hold it, with no luck. I took it over to her today and she was thrilled with it. This is the first time I've framed a magazine. It wasn't difficult though.
wood-n-things
Is that Hop along Cassidy? Nice job of framing that heirloom.
shadylady0447
Nice job on the framing of Hopalong! Did you use the special uv glass for framing magazines to reduce fading? What a nice heirloom. I was 3 when that was printed! LOL
ugsduck
... William Boyd, Topper, "Gabby" Hayes ... wow!, you sure have bought a lot of memories back for me - saturday afternoon cinema, playing cowboys and indians in the local woods (Dont think kids do that now), walking around with "squinty" eyes.... Hopalong and Roy Rogers were my idols in those days. Good job by the way Cheers Keith
greasemonkeyredneck
My favorite part of this project came before I even started. I looked through the magazine before putting it in a frame. I love to look through old stuff like that. My favorite was a full page ad for the "Luxury Chevrolet". It sold then for $1449. Travis
That turned out great. Its always fun looking through those old magazines. Its neat to see what folks thought were important back in the day. Nice job on the framing!
