griley Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Hi, I need to attach a wood cut out to a piece of enamel painted wood. Is their a particular glue I should use to do this? Will any wood glue do okay? .......Thanks Gary Quote
Travis Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 I'm not sure how well wood glue would stick. I'd use a two part epoxy glue. You can find it at most hardware stores. Squeeze some out on some scrap wood, stir it with a toothpick, and apply it. That should stick pretty much anything you need. Quote
griley Posted September 6, 2009 Author Report Posted September 6, 2009 Thanks Travis, I will give epoxy a try. Gary Quote
greasemonkeyredneck Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I attach a lot of stuff to painted surfaces. I use Duco Cement. I've never had any problems. You can find it in the hobby section of Wal-Mart or the craft store. Quote
griley Posted September 10, 2009 Author Report Posted September 10, 2009 Thanks, I have seen it before. I still havn't been shopping. When I go I will pick some up and give it a go as well as some epoxy. I attach a lot of stuff to painted surfaces. I use Duco Cement. I've never had any problems. wood-n-things Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Duco is less expensive....I've used it with success but I rough up the painted surface a bit first. Quote
