< ??????????>????????? < > This means both ways what ever it takes to get the job done I use mainly spirals so I'll cut both ways to wear out the blade equally.

Thanks Hans,i never thought about that, that the spiral can wear out on a side.I've noticed that it will cut better at times ,i guess it's those times that i'm cutting with the part of the blade that's not wore out.Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!Every little tip & trick pays off in the long run!

I'm right handed and I cut clockwise and from what I have read that makes me weird.

Marg

Marg, not really weird, some people are just different. Chances are you use the left side of your brain. As we tend to cut away from yourself, so push cut rather then a pull cut. This is not all bad news as people that use the left side of their brain are more apt to be  artistic then visa versa. So enjoy. Happy new year

Will I'm right handed, when I use straight blades (rarely) I go closkwise whenever possible.  This usually puts the right side of the blade cutting along the outside of the line I am cutting and where the teeth of the blade protrude.  Makes it easier for me to "file" or clean up along the line.  Okay I know this makes no sense but I know what I mean, I just don't know how to explain it.
