This is what was ordered and a lot of them. They want  150pieces to start, they call them onxsor something that  sounds like i spelled . I figured 2 minutes tops to cut one and told her 33.3 Cents for each one.I'll stack cut three at a time so i'll do good .she's going to sand them and paint them. All are in 1/8" wood scrap.then she also requires the same thing in  2'x3'. !/2''wood 20 of these ,same deal she will sand them and paint.I haven't given her a price yet but i try to keep things at the 10 dollar an hour range.I'll have to buy a sheet of 1/2" as that's not a size i find to often.post-1607-0-72440100-1420430077_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-23271500-1420430090_thumb.jpg

Kevin it is called an ANKH  also known as key of life, the key of the Nile or crux ansata (Latin meaning "cross with a handle"), was the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "life", a triliteral sign for the consonants.

Sounds like you have a lot of work a head of you my friend.  Are you printing patterns or did you make a tracing template for it?  Looking good so far keep up the good work my friend.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

this is great DW, No matter what comes up in the village ,somebody knows something about something.I had no idea where to look for a picture of this so i had to use the one she sent me from her phone.I never though it had anything to do with a cross till you brought it up.Boy what a history too.I scaned a sheet full of pasted(scotch taped )ANKH)'s to the copy paper and then printed it out,I'll try to stack cut three at a time, pin nailed together.thanks so much for the info!

You will waste less wood by making a template and drawing around it when cutting large quantities.

that's true and all the stars i made that were 1/2" an 3/4" i did that it  took 3,4 5 hours to outline something  that small.I don't know why i didn't do that with these but got er done today .I only had enough wood for 133 instead of 150. Had i done it your way i would have made more money and they would have gotten what they wanted!

I am sure by the time you get them all done you will probably wish you had a 50 cent price on them. on the large ones I would charge for a 4X8 sheet of plywood + $10 pr hour.

Your exactly right IKE, i lost out big time .Don't know where my mistake was but it hsappened. ah what the heck $44 bucks never hurt anyone, lol here's the finished productpost-1607-0-94506100-1420515552_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-02957900-1420515586_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-30122900-1420515605_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-17106700-1420515621_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-15913100-1420515636_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-88258800-1420515660_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-90697300-1420515677_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-44930100-1420515696_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-02928800-1420515808_thumb.jpg
