Dan Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Breakfast is served...I'll provide the eggs, bacon, and sausage but someone will have to do the cooking. Sorry for the late start today. With a high of just 21F, today will be a good day to work a trail. Since it's below freezing I can't spray any invasive plants but I will make sure the trail is safe for hikers. This is a good time to go hiking since you can see a lot more into the woods and it's easier to see animal tracks. For those down under, I hope the fires have subsided and the temps go down a bit. Be safe. Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

Scrolling Steve Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Thanks for the grub Dan.....I will help out in the kitchen and grab a cup of coffee!.........Kevin leave the sterno stove outside but grab a chair at the table. Quote
edward Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 I'll supply the coffee/hot water for tea, and some delicious cream donuts. Everythiing tastes good on this cold morning. Have a nice day. edward Quote
oldhudson Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 I hope the coffee is hot because the temp here in St. Paul is -11° with a -30 something windchill (I think that's -24° and -35° for those of you on the Celsius scale). I try to walk a mile or two everyday and while the cold's not too bad for me my dog is limping around in just a short time. I just adopted this dog a few weeks ago. He must be from the south because his coat is so thin? Quote
LarryEA Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 THanks Dan. I'll pass. Just coffee this morning. Speaking of weather... it's 19 Degrees. I'll fire up Kero heater, scroll a little, clean a stall... repeat. Quote
Dan Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 Thanks for cooking, Steve and the donuts are excellant Edward! Sounds like I am in a heat wave. Kevin, you better bundle up if you come up north. Berry, put some dog mittens on your pooch. That may help. Winter is an exciting time up north. Quote
browders Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Just coffee thanks. No time to eat. As you can see, Old Man Winter visited us. As of this writing we have 18 inches of new snow and more on the way. Gonna spend the morning plowing, but will be happy to help wash dishes. Jim Quote
wombatie Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 I'll just have a Chai Latte thanks. No Dan there are still some fires burning, the big one in Adelaide has burnt a few houses and I think there have been quite a few injuries. The one in country Victoria is still burning but it is under control. And would you believe we have had another fire, a grass fire on the foreshore heading towards the water. Our poor firefighters can't catch a break at the moment. Stay safe everyone. Marg Quote
