Tdub4ever Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Here's a project I'm working on now. Just finished cutting everything out and had to see what it looked like. I still have to sand each and every letter/piece. I'm not really looking forward to that, especially the smaller letters at the bottom. I usually end up sanding my finger tips sore also, lol! This measures 16.75" x 11". Edited January 12, 2015 by Tdub4ever bobscroll 1 Quote
Scrolling Steve Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 very nice work!.....That sign will cause a few laughs! Quote
LarryEA Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Don, From my eye, your sign is quite ready. I suspect you lean a bit toward perfection. The letters are a perfect cut and the Harley sign is 'crisp'. Nice job. Edited January 12, 2015 by LarryEA Quote
spirithorse Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 Very nice!I agree with Larry in that there doesn't seem to be much sanding necessary. Ready to go!Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse Quote
dgman Posted January 11, 2015 Report Posted January 11, 2015 Very nice cutting and a great sign! I agree, very little sanding needed! Quote

jerry1939 Posted January 11, 2015 Report Posted January 11, 2015 Beautiful work!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go ahead and shoot me if I am throwing cold water at your great work, BUT, is there a copyright problem with your Harley logo? I keep reading on scroll saw sites that Harley is THEE most aggressive company about people copying their trademarks. I sincerely hope that I am not scaring you needlessly. Just trying to help a scrollin friend stay out of trouble, IF it is necessary. jerry Quote

I talked to a lawyer friend that says if a logo is transformed at least 30% that it would be legal. So I'm thinking if I don't paint it the HD colors it will be transformed enough. Am I thinking wrong? I know a lot of you out there have experience in this area. Any comments on this issue? Quote
