Bendita
I see way to many people fall into the pin type trap to only be frustrated later on as they progress in their skills here is a picture of the difference
Fish
I had a true value hardware saw that could use either one. I got to the point where I pressed the pin out of the blade to use it for smaller cuts.
DWSUDEKUM
Another method of using pinned in spots were a pinless really should be used is to drill 2 holes side by side so that they overlap. Now this only works in spots where the kerf is big enough to accommodate that. Unfortunately if you are using a saw that can only handle pinned blades the complexity of your work is going to be less than that of someone using pinless blades. There are some aftermarket blade holders for some of the older machines that will allow you to use both pinned and pinless blades you will just have to research them. LarryEA
The saw I had that took just pinned blades was awkward to hook up and tighten.
amazingkevin
Just enlarge the pattern to be able to accept pinned blades that need a larger hole to go thru.

Kevin if one was going to cut a pattern like Han's cuts with pinned blades he would have to enlarge it to the size of the side of a two story building. Just playing with you, Kevin. It is a good thought and could work for many patterns. Dick heppnerguy browders and tomsteve
