Savannah Scroller
I decided to Finally start back on my project to scroll saw a small working Ferris Wheel. Its from a Pattern that I ordered from Cherry Tree. I Saw one at a Show one time many years ago in Lebanon Tenn. And have wanted to try it for years. I put it off until I got the new saw so No More Excuses. It should take me about 2 or 3 months to do. Wish me luck because I sure need it. There are over 1200 cuts on each side wheel alone!! KEEP ON SCROLLING!!!!!!!!!! Edited January 21, 2015 by Savannah Scroller amazingkevin, Phantom Scroller, Travis and 1 other

oldhudson
You've certainly chosen a very challenging project. I'm looking forward to your posts under "Works in Progress". When I think of a project like this it reminds me of the old question and answer, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." So I'm sure you'll progressing one cut at a time. Have fun! tomsteve
Very ambitious and something I've wanted to do for some time. It looks like a lot of stack cutting can occur with it. Probably be wise for the wheel sides so all the stuff in between lines up nice. I'm thinkin this would be a good project thread for us to follow. Scrappile
Man, wish I had the time to join you guys in the build. I've been wanting to try something other than the pictures I have been scrolling so far. I have been eyeing this Ferris Wheel: http://www.finescrollsaw.com/ferris-wheel.htm But I bought the plans for the "Five Dragon Box'' instead. Maybe if I can do the box, I will try the Ferris Wheel. Good luck guys, I'm really anxious to see the end products. Edited January 23, 2015 by Scrappile

heppnerguy
A very self rewarding pattern to cut. These are the kind of patterns that I am on the constant look for. I will check it out too. I think you will find that it will go much faster than you are anticipating. Good luck to everyone that gives this one a go.
