Jinxy
Hi all, I'm new around here, I was just looking for a spot to find other scrollers and get some new ideas when I stumbled on the site. I've been scrolling since I could reach the table and I dabble in selling some of my work. I draw most of the patterns that I work from these days but I'm still learning the tricks to using software to do the dirty work. I'd love to meet some of you Vanessa

shadylady0447
Hi Vanessa! Welcome to the Village. Sounds like you have a lot of experience scrolling so maybe you can pass on some tips you've learned. Check out the great classes Travis has offered us at the University. Right now we're learning some of the basics in a great program called Inkscape. Most of all just join in, post some of your work for us to see, grab a pattern or two and have fun. Travis
Hi Vanessa. Welcome to the Village. We're glad you found us. There are lots of friendly and talented folks here. I think you'll fit right in. We'd love to see some of your work. You can set up a User Gallery (you can find a [tut]tutorial here[/tut]) and show off a little. Its a lot of fun to see other's work. Very inspiring. Be sure to check out the classes in the Village University forum. Right now we have 2 classes. The first one is using the free program GIMP to make scroll saw portraits patterns. The second is our Inkscape (also free) class. We're still working on the GIMP class. We have another 2 weeks of lessons before we wrap that one up. But that should be a fun one. I can't wait to see what people come up with. Anyway, welcome aboard. Jump in and have some fun!
