chkorte
I finally finished my second patiotic clock after several weeks of interuptions. I did another one because my sister saw my first one and dropped a hint that she woudn't mind having one of these if I were to make another one. I cut this one out of cherry. I wanted a deeper reddish color in the wood so I first stained it with a natural cherry stain and then sprayed it with several coats of clear lacquer. Not only did I have one interuption after another but just when I am doing the final routing on the base pieces my router goes screwy on me and died but not before messing up the last piece. All in all I am pleased with the final result.
