GrampaJim
This may be a silly question but - the container for BLO says to mix it with mineral spirits, but mix only enough for each use. I cheap and hate to get rid of it. I am mixing it and dipping small pieces. Why can't I put it in a new sealed container and re-use the leftovers? Thanks, Jim
tvman44
I have done it successfully.
LarryEA
I mix it by the gallon and store it in a 64 ounce cranberry container or maybe I mix 64 ounces and store it...........forget it. I mix a lot and store it until I use it and have to mix more........ Go back to 'General Scroll Sawinf' and in the top right corner is... a 'Search' panel. Search General Scroll sawing for.... BLO Read the posts and you will see that more than just me... mixes lots....
jrpeteo
I have a mason jar with the 50/50 mix, I dump it into one of those disposable foil pans like you might cook a turkey in. Add fretwork, remove and shake off excess. When I'm done I just pour it back in the jar. Pete oldhudson and amazingkevin

LarryEA
Doesn't it take BLO forever to dry? When it is mixed with mineral spirits, 24 hours max. Pure BLO takes a long time.
