Ok I have a craftsman saw with out a stand and I want to know what kind of stand to put it on. I really don't want to make one but put it on one that is already. was wondering what some people do.

Thanks for any information.

Oh Mimi, slap me! You don't have a stand, don't want to make a stand, leave me in a quandry for suggestions.

Most woodworkers either have a conventional table or make one. Use sawhorses and boards,

old outdoor grill stand, 55 gallon drum, old stump, tailgate of pickup...

You could check out Salvation Army for a table.

Really ain't a lot of choices

On trASH COLLEDTION DAYS JUST MAKE A RUN AROUND THE NEIGHBOR HOOD AND FIND ANY THING THAT LOOKS LIKE YOU COULD MAKE A STAND OUT OF. OR GO TO A THRIFT STORE AND BUY AN END TABLE THERE IS SO MANY CHOICES.

Check out your local thrift shops and see if they have a wooden desk.  You want it fairly heavy to offset the vibration from the saw.  My Craftsman sits on a simple stand my BF made out of 4x4 (legs) 2x4 (top)  very sturdy.

I attached my Craftsman saw to a board that I clamp to my bench when I'm using it.  It has blade holders and a magnifying lamp attached to it too.  When I need the workbench for bigger projects I just remove the board with the saw attached.  I'll try to include a url to show it.
