LarryEA
Oh Mimi, slap me! You don't have a stand, don't want to make a stand, leave me in a quandry for suggestions. Most woodworkers either have a conventional table or make one. Use sawhorses and boards, old outdoor grill stand, 55 gallon drum, old stump, tailgate of pickup... You could check out Salvation Army for a table. Really ain't a lot of choices Scrolling Steve
Scrolling Steve
Mimi, if you have a harbor freight in your area , They have a couple of tool stands(universal type) both in the 30.00 dollar range.......one of those and a piece of 1/2 plywood ought to do the trick! ike
On trASH COLLEDTION DAYS JUST MAKE A RUN AROUND THE NEIGHBOR HOOD AND FIND ANY THING THAT LOOKS LIKE YOU COULD MAKE A STAND OUT OF. OR GO TO A THRIFT STORE AND BUY AN END TABLE THERE IS SO MANY CHOICES.
ChelCass
Check out your local thrift shops and see if they have a wooden desk. You want it fairly heavy to offset the vibration from the saw. My Craftsman sits on a simple stand my BF made out of 4x4 (legs) 2x4 (top) very sturdy. Larry A. Blakely
I attached my Craftsman saw to a board that I clamp to my bench when I'm using it. It has blade holders and a magnifying lamp attached to it too. When I need the workbench for bigger projects I just remove the board with the saw attached. I'll try to include a url to show it. https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/t31.0-8/10861002_10204794502155952_1943851159307903355_o.jpg
amazingkevin
I use the stands that come with the saw .But raise the back of the saw 1 foot taller than the front for ease of seeing what im doing and it keeps my back straight for less back pains.
