Portraits

[Around the corner]

I was wondering if any of the members who make pattern for portraits or straight patterns have tried or bought a digital pen for graphic on a tablet.I was thinking of buying one instead of using a mouse and need some opinions if it's worth spending the money. Any thoughts are welcome. Damian

I've been thinking the same thing along time .I've tryed many places for a drawpad used ,no luck.

I find that the mouse jerks too much for drawing corners and circles so maybe somebody has better ideas using these tools hopefully some have bought one to tell us

give Inkscape a try. none of those problems. The program is not that complicated to learn the basics and Travis has several great videos in the university part of this forum and they are free. Inkscape is also free.

Try out the Bamboo system, it's put out by Wacom and it's very easy to use. If it wasn't, I wouldn't be using it, because, I've got no patience for frigging around with computer stuff.

I agree, a mouse is too shaky!

I have a tablet I use when making patterns. It is a lot easier to control the pen versus the mouse. I bought a cheap version on the Wacom tablet off eBay several years ago. It works great

I use a trust tablet and pen so much control than a mouse. Roly
