Dan Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) These rodents are my second biggest pest (moles being number 1). They steal the bird seed and seem to taunt me at times. OK, they are sort of cute. I just go an order for 190 bookmarks...all squirrels. I've sold more sqirrel bookmarks than anything else. No complaints thought, as they are easy to cut and allow me to buy more tools. And, they are sort of cute. Edited February 10, 2015 by Dan Wilson's Woodworking 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 Never tasted squirrel, but Ihave never tasted rat either. I'm not sure the ones we have are eating type. My neighbor brought them in, "because they are so cute". A while back I was talking to her and she said she just could not figure out why they did not stay around. I didn' t tell her it was because I have a nice quiet pellet gun! Sorry, but they destroy my walnuts. Wouldn't mind so much, but they just pick them when they are green and let them lay because they are not eatable yet. Such a waste... Also sorry, Dan, kinda hi-jacked the thread. I will say no more. Rob Roy Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 Darned pesky tree rats. Not so pesky when you can make a buck or three out of them. Good luck Dan. Rob Roy. Quote
Dan Posted February 10, 2015 Author Report Posted February 10, 2015 The first 60 are done. 1/32" Baltic birch ply, stained cherry, cut, and sanded. I had to order more plywood and it should be here tomorrow so I know where I'll be for a few days. Quote
Wilson's Woodworking Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 I just purchased some 1/42" veneer. I wonder how well it would hold up for book marks? Quote
Dan Posted February 10, 2015 Author Report Posted February 10, 2015 I just purchased some 1/42" veneer. I wonder how well it would hold up for book marks? The veneer is too thin. DAMHIK! I had thought about using 1/64" plywood and veneering it but then the expense goes up and I don't want to change my price. Quote
