First commission and first pattern (sort of)

I made one of the patterns in Jeff Paxton's book "words of Faith."  A pastor friend saw it and asked me to do something like it with different words.  Hmm, never did anything without a ready made pattern before.

So, I figured out how to install a scroll friendly font on my computer and played around with it.  I don't consider it a "real" pattern design, more of a layout.  Anyway, delivered it today and they were happy with it.

I agree with everyone else. Feels good to take on a new endeavor only to find out that you succeeded in doing it so well. Now it is off to the world of creating your own patterns and soon you will be getting more pattern requests, just wait and see.
