Fishman
I just purchased a can of Deft Semi-Gloss spray and I've never used this product before. Been looking all over and can't find a full dry time on it. Only thing on the can is a recoat time. So does anybody know the full dry/curing time on this stuff? Thanks! Steve Curtis
Hi Fishman, I love using the deft clear coat. Spells very bad, so make sure you have a window open. I use mine outside. By saying this, because I put my stain on outside, my dry time is very short. I do believe full dry time in my area is 2 days. We have a great deal of moister in our area. If you are in a dry area, I think a full 24 hours would be good. Hope I was able to help. Steve
redwine
I have used Deft gloss for a few years and love it! I live in the southwest with low humidity so the dry and cure time is 24hours or less. As far as the recoat time, if you can handle the item that was sprayed with out any difficulty, it is safe to recoat. I have tried 2 other brands of lacquer spray but keep coming back to Deft. If Home Depot stops selling it not sure what I will replace it with as WM and Lowes no longer carry it. Redwine
Steve Curtis
Redwine, I noticed the other day Lowe's did stop selling it, I will have to go to Home depot and get stocked up.

heppnerguy
I have used several different brands of spray lacquer and Deft is by far my favorite because it has an adjustable spray head and it sprays very even. I usually spray coats just a few minutes apart.. It seems to work fine for me...might suggest goign to their web site for exacting answers Dick heppnerguy
spirithorse
I always liked Deft but, cannot find it any more in this area. Not only did it spray on well, dry quickly, non-yellowing, and look good, it was always cheap!Good combination in my opinion! Sorry I could not find any definite answer about total drying time. God Bless! Spirithorse

Scrappile
I just purchased some yesterday from my local ACE Hardware. Fact today (and yesterday) is a 20% off all you could fit in a brown paper bag day. That is why I went. Might check your ACE if you have one.
