If you have seen my recent posts with the pattern making and cutting of the word signs that Travis made the tutorials for, then I want you to know that I am kicking around a little twist to it and before I actually make one, I am fishing for some honest opinions as to whether you think my idea is a good one or a not so good or is it a dumb idea ? The idea here is that the large background name would be the schools team name, such as; Warriors.. Bulldogs...Indians, you get the idea. The over riding, smaller name would be the title of the sport, such as; football.. basketball' soccer.. volleyball etc and then the symbol on the left side would be of the sport named on the plaque and the right side being the player's jersey number. So that is my idea here. I would really appreciate your input here.. You probably have several programs in your own home town to test out on..... Little league baseball, Pop Warner football, High school football, baseball, basketball, The list is endless. If you think it will work for you too, then go for it. They are fun to make and they are really special. I think using a school mascot or logo might be stepping on copyright things, so I think I won't do them, but a good thought. I did post a photo of one of the name plaques and I got 5 orders on the first day. I live in a really small town so there is not things like pop Warner football and non school sports but there are a couple of other small towns around here, so mayb ethey will work out well. I am selling them for $29 and it seems to be a good price. Oh, I sold one to someone in Arizona too. Busy day tomorrow. Thanks for all the support. Dick heppnerguy Quote

Just so you don't think I have not been thinking about it try this in Inkscape Dick. Type outer text then inner text and on the inner text add a stroke re-size the stroke and add the colour to the stroke and drop the text where you want it. of course thinking of bridges. It's very quick to do and here's an example. Quote
