Scrappile
If I am getting this correctly, Mike has sold his business! It is sold to The Wooden Teddy Bear. If this is true, I am happy for Mike, and I wish him the very best. I will really miss his great service and thank him for the years he has provided the best service and a great product. I hope the new owners can live up to Mike's reputation. Wooden Teddy Bear is based in Portland, Ore. I think they have been selling Flying Dutchman blades all along. They should know the business well. Travis

Steve Curtis
Oh Man! This is like a death in scroll saw world. I hate to hear this, but in another way, so glad to hear he was able to sell his company. I wish him all the best.

Scrappile
Paul, I think you may be right, both sites are stile open, wooden teddy is selling flying blades. Will I think WTB has been selling FD blades all along, think that is where Heppnerguy (Dick) has been buying his. I just went to Mike's Workshop and no announcement there, I could still order blades, so I don't know. Like I stated, sorry if I miss-stated, but I will be happy if I did..... I do know Mike has been wanting to retire at 84.

Scrappile
It is very nice to read good things about Wooden Teddy Bear and I have been reading good words about them all day. Makes the sting of Mike retiring a little less.
Kepy
Just my luck as I was going to place an order today. What I get for procrastinating. I don't think anyone could match Mike for service and promptness in addition to being a really nice guy.

edward
I dealt with the WTB before , and I don't think they will match Mikes service, and there shipping cost is a little higher, hope they will change. edward
Travis
I was sorry to hear that too. Mike used to be an advertiser here on SSV's early days. He even popped in every once in awhile to offer scroll saw blade advice to new members. He was a cornerstone of the scrolling hobby and will be sorely missed. I wish him all the best. I'm sure Wooden Teddy Bear will offer great service. They have big shoes to fill.
OCtoolguy
I got a phone call from Mike last week. He didn't mention anything about selling or retiring. He did tell me to call him anytime with any questions I might have. I can't imagine him saying that if he was going out of business. I got just the opposite impression. ike
I had an order in to the Wooden teddy bear .I placed it on Friday the 6tj at about 1 pm and I got it today Mar 9 by posts office the order was for $30.00 and the shipping was $6.95 for $25 - $50 orders.
