Scrappile
I started spending a lot of time on the scroll saw about last August. Since that time, I have gained 10+ pounds!!! The only reason it isn't worse is I worked at removing 30 big arborvitae since than also. Most of that weight gain has be over the past 3 months. But I have a plan. I am building a platform on the handles of a treadmill that I can mount my scroll saw on!! Multifasited
That should produce so interesting tight corners ,and some super straight lines ! The best exercise in the world for weight control is not a tread mill ,It's pushing you BUTT away from the table ! Not the scroll saw table either ! Good Luck on is easy OFF is not so! heppnerguy
I think a more challenging selection of patterns to cut would solve your problems. My wife has to yell at me to get me to come into the house to eat, or else, I just forget.. Dick heppnerguy NMBob

wombatie
Scrolling keeps me out of the house, that is good. Unfortunately it is tomato season and all the mini ones are ripening, every time I walk past them I have to have 4,5,6,7, or 8. I can go through about 400grams a day at the moment. Plus with every thing we have been through and going through I see to find myself in the kitchen more often. Marg

jerry1939
I completed my 2 years in the Army in 1961. My Discharge Paper states that I weighted 165 pounds. Current weight is 180. Gained 15 pounds in 54 years. I'm a lazy guy and don't exercise nearly enough, but do a little a few times a day. jerry

Use a pedal powered saw... guaranteed to give you your exercise I have the plans for one but have been too busy to build it. Or better yet just throw it away...and keep on scrolling. Scrappile

But seriously, I have major back and knee issues and I keep the weight off by just walking. I enjoy a nice juicy steak, and various other treats, but only in moderation. One of my other hobbies is Geocaching, which is not only wonderful exercise in the great out doors, I leave little woodworking items in the lager caches. -Steven
LarryEA
My problem is that I could not gain weight if I put rocks in my pockets.

I've only found about 5 so far, the weather here has been so nasty. Looking forward to warmer spring days to go find some of the more difficult caches! I've been carrying around some Mardi Gras beads and toys for the larger caches, but the woodwork is great idea!
woodduck
Seems to be a trend happening here as I also have put on a few extra pounds as well ,must start walking again if I have not lost the use of that function.
