I screwed up royally today.  Found a frame that would work for my moose picture.  I only needed to shave off a little on the width of the picture.  Put it on the table saw, started shaving off a little at a time and boom!  Pieces flying everywhere!!!  Not sure what happen, but it happened.  Luckily it was a stacked cut, so I still have one left.  Actually it didn't bother me that much, I kept thinking, I get to cut that again......

Sorry to hear, I'm sure I would have been upset if it happened to me....even if I had an extra. It's great you had another one though. In the grand scheme of things, worse things could have happened though. That's what I always think if something goes wrong/doesn't work out. ;)

I was just doing this yesterday (nothing as delicate though) and actually had this fear. So now I'm wondering, did you cut your moose on another piece of scrap backer for support, or just cut it by itself right on the table saw?

Feel your pain. Been there done that but I will not tell anyone.  Taping to a cheap ply backer will be my next try at resizing a finished piece.  Even when making my own frames, sometimes have to resize.  Must be my tape measure is off by a bit?
