DWSUDEKUM Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 As most of you know I make banks along with a lot of other things. One of the byproducts from making my banks are pieces of white pine that measure 11 - 12 inches long x 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 inches wide x 3/4 inches thick. I have approximately 200 of these surfaced on all 4 sides, top, bottom, both long axis sides. My question for you all is what would you do with them? I can glue them up as a panel that is 11-12 inches long x 3/4 inches thick x however many boards I want to glue together, then sand the top and bottom smooth with my 18" drum sander( sand flee knockoff ). Suggestions? DW Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 I'd glue them up and make scrolled bowls. Roly Scrolling Steve 1 Quote
jamminjack Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 Hey DW They are the perfect size for scrolled desk name plates.....(I make a ton of these) I make mine out of oak with a walnut base. But pine would work perfectly. amazingkevin, Phantom Scroller and Scrolling Steve 3 Quote

DWSUDEKUM Posted March 28, 2015 Author Report Posted March 28, 2015 Lots of good ideas I have been seeing. I have a bowl blank in glue up, I will post a picture of it before I cut the bowl from it. I am not real sure yet what the bowl will look like. Time will tell. DW Quote
