lion Roar My Attempt

I saw this pattern scrolled over on Scrollsaw forum and really like the way it was done.  Over there it was done by Bushman Dan and he did an awesome job.  I didn't do quit as well but I will live with it.  I liked his method of cutting it on a board that kinda self framed it.  I routed around the board.  This is a 1/2" thick piece of Popular.  Popular is pretty soft, not sure I will use it again.  At least not for such a detailed cutting.  Mine is 11 1/2" X 13".  I used 3/0 FD spirals.  He used a #3 flat blade.  I do not know how he did it with flat blades.  The pattern is from Charles Dearing.

That looks outstanding to me.  Like the way you did it and outlined it with the dark wood backing. Great job.

Jim it is not outlined with dark wood it is just laying on a black background to make it show up better for the picture.  I like your idea though.  Make a black frame it sits in.  I'm thinking that would look good.  I may do that one of these days.  Thanks.
