OCtoolguy
I have a DW also, Is there a problem with the blade clamps? Mine seem to be ok but it would be nice to know ahead of a failure. Should I be using anti-seize? R
heppnerguy
I have a DW also, Is there a problem with the blade clamps? Mine seem to be ok but it would be nice to know ahead of a failure. Should I be using anti-seize? R the only time that I had a problem with the blade clamps is when i used an added, larger piece to help cinch down the key. I will NEVER use one of those again on my saw..I now sand each new blade ends before I install it in the clamps..I have had my present clamps for several years.now and no problems.. I have never used anti-seize but i am sure it is a good idea as so many are recommending it. Dick heppnerguy
OCtoolguy
Thanks Dick. I did just as you warned so I will have to be very careful when tightening. I cut out some add-on knobs from cherry wood and epoxied them to the stock knobs. I'm going to get some anti-seize just to be on the safe side. It's hell to be a newbie and have to learn all this stuff. Ray Edited April 28, 2015 by octoolguy
