OK all you scroll saw maniacs... I need some help...

I have an Excaliber 21 and love the saw to death.  Best I have ever used.

However, I have a problem that I'm not sure how to fix.

Just recently my tension bar at the top of the cutting head, starting vibrating loose during a cut.  It wasn't too bad at first, but has gotten progressively worse over the past few days.   I took the whole thing apart, cleaned it and back together and it's doing the same thing.

Is there an adjustment I'm missing?

Anyone have a similar experience and have a fix for it?

I suspect it's something simple, but it's got me bewildered at this point.

I went through the operating manual, but couldn't find any mention of this.

Any trouble shooting locations someone knows about that they can share with me.

I would appreciate any help anyone has on this one.

Thanks

okay 1st question did you buy from seyco, no is it under warranty still? yes you bought it from seyco call ray . no look on the plastic tension bar needs a flat cut on it., ray sent me one i swapped it out and never had a problem again my saw sees 30 hours minimum a week for 2 years now since he swapped it out . if its out of warranty and he wont swap it (i doubt it) pm me i will take pictures and draw the piece out full size and show you what it needs to look like 5 seconds on sander it will work great

Thanks guys....

I have a call into Ray... he's suppose to be calling me back later today.

I didn't buy from Seyco, and it's 7 years old, but maybe he'll help me with a fix.

If not Zen, I may take you up on your offer.

Knew I could get some good help from this site...

Yer all the best...

Try using a little less tension on the lever/blade, or, take it piece off and sand or file the bottom flat. To me, it seems as if your lever isn't locking itself down properly.
