oleranger Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 OK all you scroll saw maniacs... I need some help... I have an Excaliber 21 and love the saw to death. Best I have ever used. However, I have a problem that I'm not sure how to fix. Just recently my tension bar at the top of the cutting head, starting vibrating loose during a cut. It wasn't too bad at first, but has gotten progressively worse over the past few days. I took the whole thing apart, cleaned it and back together and it's doing the same thing. Is there an adjustment I'm missing? Anyone have a similar experience and have a fix for it? I suspect it's something simple, but it's got me bewildered at this point. I went through the operating manual, but couldn't find any mention of this. Any trouble shooting locations someone knows about that they can share with me. I would appreciate any help anyone has on this one. Thanks Ye Ole Ranger Quote

oleranger Posted April 30, 2015 Author Report Posted April 30, 2015 Thanks guys.... I have a call into Ray... he's suppose to be calling me back later today. I didn't buy from Seyco, and it's 7 years old, but maybe he'll help me with a fix. If not Zen, I may take you up on your offer. Knew I could get some good help from this site... Yer all the best... Scrappile Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 You can order that part directly from their site. I purchased one a while back to have as a spare. They do wear out eventually. Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

Lucky2 Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 Try using a little less tension on the lever/blade, or, take it piece off and sand or file the bottom flat. To me, it seems as if your lever isn't locking itself down properly. Len Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 I spray mine with silicon spray stops wear and the only time it happened to me was when I had to much tension on the blade and it was a 7 try changing to a different size blade or a different make of blade different materials etc. Roly Quote
