Lucky2 Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) Beautiful job! I imagine you had to cut fast.Very Beautiful work. Lawson, you'll find out in a hurry that fast just isn't in when cutting acrylic, the high speed creates to much heat and the plastic will just weld itself back together. When I cut any of it, I always run my saw at a slow speed. By cutting it slowly you'll get little pieces of plastic sawdust, and the edges don't usually need any work done to them. Don't stack cut plastics or acrylics, they can bond themselves together which ruins them all. I use a lot of plexiglas mirror stock for a backer on some projects, it really gives a project a different and better look. It's not all that expensive, the last 4'x8' sheet that I bought, only cost me around $50.00. Which isn't very much money, compared to how many projects you get out of the sheet.
